How to explain the technology of the future in 4 minutes – Vitrifi Explainer Case Study
We created a 4-minute animated explainer video for Vitrifi — a deep-tech startup developing AI infrastructure for the telecom sector.
The Challenge
The product was based on abstract, technically complex principles, illustrated through dense engineering diagrams. Our task was to visualize all this in a way that would be clear to investors, partners, and a broader audience. The Vitrifi team provided us with a large number of diagrams and internal materials.
Each diagram was a complex structure that required deep understanding. Simply redrawing or narrating over them wasn’t enough. We needed a clear narrative and visual language that would simplify perception without oversimplifying the concept.
The Visual Solution
During discussions, the client suggested using a green dot as a symbol of the signal — we adapted this visual metaphor and carried it throughout the story.
The dot moves through the system, colliding with elements, transforming them, and triggering actions. This allowed the viewer to “see through the signal’s eyes” and understand how the architecture works.
Design & Art Direction
We chose a minimalist style: flat design, smooth motion graphics, and emphasis on key transitions.
Each movement of the dot represented a logical step in the system — from request to processing, from analysis to result.
The color scheme and graphic elements were adapted from Vitrifi’s brand book to ensure the video would seamlessly fit into the company’s digital ecosystem.
The Result
The video became a centerpiece on Vitrifi’s homepage.
It is now used in meetings with partners and product demos.
Despite the density of the content, we fit everything into 4 minutes — explaining the complex AI infrastructure visually while highlighting the brand values of transparency, innovation, and frictionless operations.
Production Note:
The production process took 8 weeks and involved an art director, 2 illustrators, 3 motion designers, and a producer.
We thoroughly refined the client’s script, developed a detailed storyboard, and integrated complex graphs and tables into a logical visual narrative.
